Job description – Account Manager
The UK’s first fuel delivery service is hiring an Account Manager to join our Strategy & Optimisation team and be part of a fast-growing, VC backed startup.
About the role:
Are you highly organised, a multi-tasker, and good at problem-solving? Do you want to join a high performing team in a fast-paced company? As an Account Manager at Zebra Fuel, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s relationships with its current and prospective customers whilst working closely with and reporting directly to the Key Account Manager.
Responsibilities:
Retention: Retain current B2B customers to boost retention rates
Reactivate B2B churns to help with monthly targets
Operate as the point of contact for your nominated clients, and develop and maintain long term relationships to keep customers happy
Track flow rates by customer and driver; identify any operational issues; go on blind fill-ups if necessary, to understand what is driving low flow rates; communicate with ops to address potential driver issues
Meet customers to get feedback on Zebra’s service.
Troubleshoot any problems companies are having with the portal/app
Perform all admin tasks that are associated with sales, (booking meetings, chasing payments, setting up portals for new customers), making sure they can solely focus on closing businesses
Upsell: Using a list of customers’ average tanks size, and average real quantity delivered, understand which customers have headroom for growth in volume, and work with the customer to optimise our operation (this could mean reducing the amount of deliveries we do per week, but doing larger fill-ups each time we deliver, for example.)
Chase company invoices if necessary, to ensure timely payments
Book in weekly companies in their desired delivery schedule, track and amend schedule accordingly; track first-time-orderers (FTOs) and weekly churns
Help with organisation and execution of any new projects or business park ideas for sales
What you’ll need:
Minimum of 2 years experience in an Account Manager role
General spreadsheet (eg. MicroSoft Excel) knowledge
Loves a challenge
Experienced and adept at talking to people and building relationships
Sound business acumen
Ability to take initiative in a constantly changing work environment
Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty
Excellent communications & stakeholder management
