About this role:
Our new full stack developer will be working as part of a cross functional agile development team, including a head of product, technical architect, data analyst, UI and UX designers plus front-end and back-end developers.
The right candidate will be an experienced engineer who has good technical skills in both JavaScript and Django, as well as a background in mentoring more junior team members. As well as writing your own code, you will perform code reviews and help to ensure that the standard of our work is continuously improving.
As you develop your expertise in our product offering, you will also work collaboratively with the CTO, Head of Product, and Technical Architect to define the roadmap and technical approach.
There is the potential for line-management responsibilities in this role, although it is not a requirement if that is not something you wish to pursue. You will however be expected to help mentor our less experienced team members.

About our tech stack:
You will be joining a platform team that develops and maintains all of Zappar’s websites and applications, including our creative tools: ZapWorks Studio and ZapWorks Designer.
Our platform utilizes all of the proprietary computer vision technologies that are developed by our Research and Development team (complete with three PhDs).
Our websites, CMS and tools make good use of modern standards and techniques to build awesome features, speed-up development and give the end-user the best experience possible. On the front-end you can expect to find a collection of web-components built with Sass and TypeScript and on the back-end some APIs built with Python, NodeJS and Go, a set of Django applications and a few PostgreSQL databases.
What will you be working on?
We have an exciting roadmap for 2019/20 which you play a super important role in defining and executing against. In the coming months you can expect to contribute to launching our own version of WebAR, iterating on the user experience of our web applications, as well as helping to build the next generation of our creative tools.
