👀 So what’s the job?
This role is the entry position into Wowcher’s Commercial & Marketing Department.
Your missions will be to fully understand and analyse Wowcher’s business performance both from a sales point of view to an overall website performance and conversion rate view, and analysing and optimising their ATL marketing budget with a primary focus on optimising their TV media.
Initially the primary responsibilities of this role will be to master Wowcher’s internal reporting and be able to provide senior managers with business insight. However the role will also be responsible for supporting the Head of External Media in optimising the ATL spend in order to maximise ROI.
And the team?
Wowcher’s Commercial & Marketing Department have several responsibilities. They manage the acquisition of new consumers/users/visitors/email addresses into the Excalibur Universe. They run the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) – effectively emailing millions of emails a day to their customers, jam packed full of deals. They own the optimisation of Wowcher’s websites and try to drive visit revenue and customer lifetime value. They also run Wowcher’s, LivingSocial’s, and SecretSales presence on social networks and search results pages (paid and organic).
They also create, maintain and run the daily/weekly/monthly/bespoke internal reports and analysis on our business. These reports enable the business to make day-to-day trading decisions and the top managers (CEO, COO, CFO, …) to make big, strategic and financial decisions.
What will you be doing?
50% Commercial Analyst:
- Run and maintain daily/monthly reports tracking business area performance against targets
- Design and create daily/weekly/monthly reports as the business requires (in Excel and SQL)
- Perform bespoke analysis to help answer management, financial and strategic questions
- Debate output, insight and commercial implication of the analysis to the business
50% Marketing Analyst:
- Work closely with our TV planning & buying agency to ensure the schedule and optimisation of our monthly budgets and weekly TV spots, maximises our response rate (RR), and minimises our cost per visit (CPV) and cost per lead (CPL)
- Constantly analyse and interpret the relationship between ATL spend and overall business KPIs
- Optimise creative in terms of seasonality, daypart, channel and programme performance
- Keep up to date with the latest TV and ATL trends – ensuring they make suggestions about new opportunities we should test
- Ability to scope, implement and asses performance of ATL campaigns/tests
- Produce a weekly/monthly report summarising TV performance which will be presented to the Head of External Media. Key Metrics included in the report will be YoY Organic & Brand Visitation/Registration trends; best performing dayparts, channels, creative in terms of RR%, CPV and CPL; and key spot analysis
- Produce monthly surveys that assess key brand metrics e.g. Brand Awareness and Brand Consideration

- Excellent communication skills and ability to understand commercial implications of data
- Ability to draw the meaning out of data, tables and charts you analyse – you will be required to present data and insight to the most senior figures in the company
- Exceptional candidates can differentiate themselves with proven experience and competency with Excel, SQL, Omniture and knowledge of statistics
