Responsibilities
The CEO is responsible for championing the strategic direction of SongBuddy across the industry. We are looking for a capable, hands-on individual who is plugged-into the music ecosystem, is prepared to serve multiple roles and get stuck-in across all areas of an early-stage business.
Collaborate closely with the founding team and advisory board to create and develop the strategic direction of the SongBuddy platform – accelerating growth and adoption
Identify, establish, and manage strategic partnerships aligned with SongBuddy’s vision and goals across key industry players
Build and lead a dedicated team across the SongBuddy platform
Represent SongBuddy across the industry, membership bodies, forums and events
Minimum Requirements
5+ years’ experience across the music industry
Execution-oriented individual that understands and can apply lean startup thinking,
manage complex projects, and lead times
Thorough understanding of the connection between business operations and the
financials, and the ability to shape strategies to support financial goals
Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced, fluid environment
Ability to work within small, unstructured teams with limited resource capacity
A humble and collaborative leader who helps others find meaning and purpose in
their work, and inspires through energetic engagement
Demonstrated capability to develop and implement effective strategies for community
growth and partnership expansion
Nice to Have
5+ years’ Public Relations & Brand Partnerships experience
Past experience championing a business division, or as a founder/co-founder is
advantageous
An understanding and familiarity with venture-backed companies, ecosystem
dynamics and raising capital
Proven track record of maximising opportunities for sponsorship and partnerships to
deliver our brand, message and visibility on a global scale
Demonstrated success in organising and managing events, both online and offline,
with a focus on inclusivity and innovation
