We’re looking for a Campaign Administrator/Coordinator to join our commercial team at Sifted.
About us
Sifted is a new media platform, backed by the Financial Times, reporting on the world of technology and startups in Europe. Three years after launching, our high-quality journalism is a must-read for many founders, investors and people working in startups across the continent.
Our team of reporters, based across Europe, aren’t chasing the latest funding announcements or product releases; plenty of other sites have got that covered. We are telling the stories that should be told — big startup trends, compelling company profiles and the everyday lessons that come from growing a business and messing up along the way. We have also just raised £4m to do more of what we do, even better.
The role
As campaign administrator/coordinator, you’ll be a committed client ambassador, representing the interests of advertising and sponsorship clients across Sifted media commercial product lines, with a particular focus on digital advertising, newsletter sponsorship, branded content and single client deals. You’ll be a central point of contact for the commercial and editorial teams, and communicate directly with clients.
You’ll initially be reporting to Katie Healy, head of advertising and sponsorship sales, whilst the business recruits a client services manager, but in due course your line manager will be a dedicated client services manager. You will form, along with the campaign manager, a key member of the client services team.
Your role will include the following:
Preparing invoices for commercial and membership/Pro sales.
Ensuring clients receive (and pay) commercial invoices in a timely manner, including managing an invoice tracker for your clients and sending the first line of “chaser” communications, when needed.
Lead the completion of new supplier forms
Championing sales-operations excellence, for example ensuring that filing systems are organised, available to the right people and kept up to date and that team “guides” and cheat sheets are updated as processes are iterated
Keeping a keen eye on the commercial calendar and averting schedule clashes, ensuring that all scheduled content processes begin at the right time
Act as the “first set of eyes” checking all external links are correct on all your client activities, and supporting the campaign manager as the “second set of eyes” where needed.
Creating client sponsorship logos in Adobe XD
Editing videos on Imovie for our lucrative Sifted Talks
Liaising with external stakeholders to help manage the client signoff process
For your clients, monitoring campaign performance and communicating opportunities for campaign optimisation. Alerting your direct line manager to any indicators that campaigns may not be performing as expected early so that the situation can be rectified.
Creating marketing briefs and management of the marketing calendar
Championing our digital advertising offering, including uploading digital advertisements and monitoring their performance.
Proactively developing your understanding of the digital advertising landscape.
Proof-reading emails and newsletters to ensure our copy is to Sifted standard and style, and that the correct advertising “labeling” is used.
Who you are
You’ll have experience in a similar role in media/publishing, an advertising / media buying agency or events management
You’ll likely have
Experience using Google Analytics and/or other SaaS/campaign tools (such as AdButler, Google ad manager, MailChimp, Sailthru, Airtable Asana, Quickbooks and CRM systems) which will help you do your role efficiently
The ideal candidate
Will be confident in learning how to use new SaaS tools
Strong bright and possess business acumen
Excited to work in a fast-growing media startup
Displays confidence, and enjoys working with lots of different people within an organisation
Can be incredibly detail-oriented, and confident in juggling lots of tasks at once
Loves being busy, and are great at time management
Has strong communication skills (written and oral) with experience in communicating with clients
Is positive in attitude and can demonstrate excellent work ethic — we’re a startup and we are looking for people who will be instrumental to our growth
Should confidently work autonomously but also relishes being part of a wider team
You have a genuine interest in the media and publishing sector and/or in the technology startup ecosystem (both would be a major bonus!)
What are we like to work for?
We have a small and friendly company mindset, but big company goals, and can draw on many of the strengths and benefits of a world-respected brand, the Financial Times.
