As a member of the Paced Senior Leadership Team, you’ll be responsible for managing our Marketing and Communications function, developing and implementing our strategy and leading on activity and events. We’re looking for someone to maximize our unique position in the marketplace and to drive growth through brand awareness and engagement, consumer loyalty, brand experience, key partnerships, insight and analysis.
Key outcomes:
- Develop a Marketing and Communications strategy and annual plan for the individual business units to support our ambitious growth plans and drive online and retail sales.
- Manage the Marketing and Communications team to run key campaigns, product launches, events, digital marketing, and PR.
- Advise on brand tone of voice and messaging.
- Work with the Creative team to develop and launch new brands.
- Oversee our online presence, including social media and e-comms to build brand awareness and encourage customer loyalty.
- Effectively resolve any online issues that could compromise our reputation.
- Track and analyse consumer data and conduct research, using insights to shape Marketing and Communications activity and to drive sales.
- Work closely with the Business Development Team on trade marketing activity to drive wholesale business. Help to develop trade assets to support retail sell through (POS, adverts, sales packs etc).
- Oversee the development of marketing assets, content and collateral, briefing and managing external agencies as needed. Support the Business Development Team with materials for pitches and attend key meetings.
- Develop and nurture partnerships with media, industry influencers and business to promote the brands, engage consumers in innovative ways and tell our unique story. Manage affiliate marketing activity.
- Effectively manage the Marketing and Communications budget to ensure high return on investment, evaluating activity against agreed KPIs, including impact, conversions and sales.
- Monitor the performance of all marketing initiatives against business objectives and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain internal communications programme.
Skills and experience:
- Eight years’ + experience in marketing, ideally having spent time at a start-up and in the premium coffee or food and beverage industry.
- Experience of B2B and B2C marketing, digital marketing, e-commerce, copy-writing and product launches.
- A creative and innovative thinker – pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo.
- An authentic leader and influencer – effectively leading and mentoring the team, spearheading campaigns and activity, and using your gravitas to achieve results.
- A great networker – representing Paced at external events and developing and nurturing relationships with industry influencers.
- Data driven and analytical – using research, data and insight to drive strategy.

- Flexible and ability to multi task – the nature of a start-up means you have to be happy working out of a coffee shop, shared office space or our London HQ. It’s a dynamic environment and we’re growing rapidly so you need to be quick to adapt.
