Limitless Travel is an exciting new travel start-up & social enterprise which gives disabled people the power to travel more through the power of information. It will become an online community for disabled travellers to share their knowledge and experience with others so that Travel will no longer be a daunting and nerve wracking experience. It will be an exciting opportunity to discover new parts of the world.
Limitless Travel is the Trip Advisor of Disabled Travel – with some Lonely Planet thrown in! Content will be based on the lonely planet, rough guides style of travel guide but it is an open source platform to allow users to easily share their experiences It will also incorporate a TripAdvisor style ‘accessible review’ system to allow users to review the accessibility of any place they have visited.
We require a CTO and Co-Founder to join our team and take the project from the initial stage into an exciting and dynamic site to help Limitless Travel reach its full potential. Your technical skills will be the driving force in building, developing and maintaining projects, to drive our growth. We work collaboratively and as such you’ll have input in areas other than strictly the technical side. This would include collaboration with defining the purpose and scope of projects, UX, testing, design and finally, delivery. We work closely with our communities who offer feedback and make contributions to the build of our projects.
You will be working out of our Central Manchester Offices.
The ideal candidate will:
Be a proven web developer with advanced programming knowledge (Minimum HTML, CSS, Java)
Have a proven track record of creating successful platforms or products from scratch
Show initiative, be pro-active and have a creative approach to problem solving.
Strong time and project management skills.
Passionate about making a change to the lives of disabled people.
Have a love for travel!
