We are looking for a self-motivated, hardworking and above all passionate PHP / MySQL developer to join our creative and forward thinking Startup.
HeyFood is a brand new recipe app that will change the way people cook. We’re looking for someone to build and maintain our backend system and author APIs to power the app.
The position is office based in our central Worcester location and the successful applicant will be working for us on a freelance / self-employed basis.
As we are a young Startup there is massive room for growth post product launch and as such we will offer very competitive performance-based bonuses and opportunities to the successful applicant.
Required Skills
- Fluent in PHP 7+
- Experience in MySQL and relational database architecture
- Experience in PHP frameworks
- Knowledge of HTML5 / CSS / Bootstrap
- Knowledge of Javascript / jQuery / Ajax / APIs
- Understanding of version control in a multi-project environment
- Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Be able to communicate effectively with our team
Nice to Haves
- An eye for design
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator mainly)
- An interest in food/cooking

Salary
Type: Full time, self-employed / freelance
Wages: £1500 per month + performance-based bonuses
Experience
While being able to show experience in this sort of position is an advantage, it’s not our main priority. The main two things we are looking for are passion and skill. If you can demonstrate both of those at an interview you’ll be on our radar for sure.
