Along with four other agencies, VERJ makes up the LAB Group. They are looking to recruit an Account Manager, a pivotal position in supporting the growth of the business through client development and spotting opportunities to tailor and expand their service offering.
They are a team at the top of their game and are looking for an energetic, curious, and resourceful person to join them and help drive new and existing business opportunities to generate revenue and improve the value VERJ deliver to their clients. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with other teams in the LAB Group to identify areas for project collaboration and teamwork.
You’ll be involved in…
- growing and managing existing accounts
- working closely with the VERJ team to articulate the VERJ offering and proposition to clients and prospective clients, and working to refine the proposition to accelerate account growth
- working closely with LAB Group’s Account, Marketing, and Sales functions on activities to develop new sales opportunities
- invaluable learnings on how scientific processes (e.g. data analytics, cognitive science, behavioural science, and language processing) is applied to commercial areas including strategy, discovery, marketing, product management and experience
🧐 So what would I be doing?
- Proactively identifying new business opportunities in line with the VERJ service offerings
- Identifying new opportunities and growth within existing accounts. Work with existing accounts to spot areas for added value
- Leading proposals and pitches with the VERJ team with existing clients and well-qualified opportunities that fit with your domain and client expertise
- Lead identification, generation, qualification, and relationship development with prospective and existing clients
- Creating proposals, pitches, and statements of work that are brand-aware and in line with our brand guidelines
- Developing strategies to expand existing client relationships and projects and generate qualified leads in target sectors
- Developing a strong understanding of the VERJ proposition to effectively communicate with colleagues and new leads
- Working closely with the VERJ team to refine the service offerings in line with the market requirements and client needs
- Working as the go-between for clients and the VERJ team to guide on project requirements, direction, and outputs
- Working with the sales, marketing, and accounts functions at LAB Group to develop cross-agency opportunities and areas for growth within VERJ
- Check in regularly with your internal team to monitor team growth in line with objectives and key results
🕵 Who are VERJ looking for?
- 2+ years industry experience working in Account Management or Business Development in market research, consultancy, product management, strategy, insights, or behavioural science sectors
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in order to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying client and team needs
- You’re strategically-minded with an ability to quickly understand client needs and logical solutions
- You’re hungry to find new sales opportunities and areas to grow existing client relationships and project scope
- Strong desire to learn about an exciting and emerging field where science meets business
- Interest in psychology, behavioural science, data science / machine learning, and/or business intelligence
- You’re keen to foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, innovation, and commercial accountability
- Optimistic attitude and growth mindset
