Charity Administrator

This charity is passionate about helping young people, go places. It’s their thing. Do you like the sound of an unconventional career that gives you the freedom to work autonomously and challenge the norm? If so, this is the role for you.

The role

Needed: a Charity Administrator to join a small core team of creative, dynamic and talented individuals who are shaking up the industry by creating opportunities for disadvantaged young people to learn music performance and production skills, whilst addressing issues such as mental health and wellbeing.

This role sits at the centre of all of Young Urban Arts Foundation’s activities and is thus essential to their operations. It is, by design, a multifaceted role drawing on communications, Public Relations, business management and finance skills, with plenty of stretch opportunities and space to grow.

The charity

YUAF are committed to creating safe and engaging spaces for young people, away from the streets, where they can break free from the fears and barriers they face and develop into creatives of the future.

Their activities bring innovative and creative workshops right to the doorstep of some of the most deprived communities in London via their Outreach Media Bus, a single-decker bus converted into a fully equipped, multi-media studio, and via their outreach services in schools, youth clubs and community centres across London.

They love what they do and need the right people to help them fulfil their vision, people who are full of ideas, not afraid to stand out from the pack and have an extra spring in their step.

More about Young Urban Arts Foundation

Young Urban Arts Foundation’s mission is to empower the lives of young people by strengthening mental well-being and building opportunities through creativity, ensuring every young person is seen, heard & celebrated.

Throughout their 12 years, they have helped over 18,000 young people and are known for delivering both empowering and creative outreach workshops in hard-to-reach areas where young people are at high-risk of child exploitation, being a victim of crime or do not have access to opportunities.

Their charity’s programmes are designed around prevention and built to drive creativity. Their multimedia bus workshops, which they take into communities, provides a safe and exciting space to inspire and build young people’s confidence. Their online workshops offer young people a way to feel connected and express their feelings and emotions in artistic and creative ways. They also deliver their programmes to schools, community centres and youth hubs. Working with partners, they provide young people with opportunities to gain further training or work experience, allowing them to build a long-term rapport and support system.
