As a Business Development Representative at Makers, you’ll be responsible for introducing potential hiring partners to Makers and getting them excited about what we do. This means researching and mapping organisations across the UK and beyond to understand if we can help them with their software engineering needs.
We don’t call ourselves a “sales” team, as we don’t believe in hard selling – hence none of us are on commission. We’re a high-energy team with big ambitions to grow and scale over the coming years. We’re not looking for someone with experience – instead someone who’s intrinsically motivated by solving real-world problems and passionate about working as part of a team with real vision. We care a lot about training and supporting you, whilst balancing this with autonomy to make decisions and changes in the most effective way. We’re working with some of the UK’s biggest companies including Vodafone, Tesco, Ford, FT and Deloitte, to help them with their digital transformations and tech talent strategies.
If you want to play a pivotal role in scaling a business at a rapid rate, whilst working as part of an independent and engaged team who prioritise learning, impact and collaboration (and never have pointless meetings!) get in touch.
You’ll be looking after our top of the funnel pipeline – qualifying and mapping organisations and getting in touch with relevant contacts (often CIOs, CTOs and Talent Leads) to introduce them to Makers.
You’ll be responsible for the outbound activity within a delivery Pod, comprised of a Client Director and Programme Managers.
You’ll have autonomy to establish the most effective way to contact these organisations, and will be trusted to own your workload and approach
You’ll have the opportunity to join introductory calls and meetings where we consult with global organisations to understand their approach to tech hiring
You’ll be excellent at record-keeping
You’ll iterate on your approach, by analysing which strategies are most effective and learning as you go
You’ll work closely with our B2B marketing team to make sure our messaging attracts the right sorts of organisations
