Bringing Digital into Business Banking
We need a Software Engineer in Test who wants to build test systems to support all parts of our platform, and who can grow with the needs of the job. We’re looking for somebody who can see solutions not problems and will work collaboratively across all areas of the business to improve our product portfolio.
If you answer “yes” to the following questions, then we could be a great match:
Are you technical and enthusiastic to build automated testing tools and systems using our core programming language which is python3?
Do you want to be included in a truly “agile” team where you’re part of the initial conversations, not just thrown work to QA at the end of the cycle?
Are you super curious? e.g whilst you can stick to a test plan, your curious and inquisitive nature will seek and uncover edge cases nobody thought about
Will you solidly demonstrate experience with different QA techniques such as exploratory testing, boundary analysis and mocked endpoints?
You will be part of a fantastic and energetic team that constantly demonstrates our company values of being curious, being in-sync and beating expectations.
As an SDET Engineer role at Growth Street, our expectations are for you to:
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
Collaboratively help to define and evolve the QA Strategy
Define and baseline our quality metrics, then leading key improvements in critical areas
Build and maintain the correct systems and processes to continuously track and review key quality metrics
Be responsible for designing and producing tests and defining corrective actions when quality deviates unacceptably
Reduce the QA feedback loop for a full system regression test from days to minutes
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities
REQUIREMENTSHands-on experience with automated testing tools such as cucumber, selenium and beyond
Experience with Python preferred, but not essential
Experience in a service oriented API-first environment advantageous
Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
You don’t need to be expert with all of the above but the desire to develop the skills is essential
